1. How do I register?
Once you have done that, you will have completed the registration process.
2. How do I place orders?
Please note that only commercial enterprises can place orders in the item Online Shop. To place orders, you will need to enter your sales tax (VAT) ID when you register. Place any product in your cart. You can find products either by typing the product name or article number into the search function or by navigating to the product you need via our catalogue.
Now enter the quantities and lengths that you require. If you wish, you can also enter a project name of your choosing. This will help you to identify the articles that you have ordered later on, as the information is printed on the order confirmation, delivery note, invoice and product label.
Click "Add to product list" to confirm your selection.
When we have received your order, we will send you an e-mail summarising it.
Your order will then be processed.
3. What is the "List Manager"?
You can use the List Manager to organise the carts you are currently using. It gives you an overview of the queries and orders that you have submitted. You can also save carts in the List Manager and open them again at a later date (e.g. as a template for a standard order), copy the contents into the current cart or delete the contents.
4. What is "Parts list import"?
Parts list import is an extremely convenient feature. It enables you to import a parts list or bill of materials that you have created in another system (e.g. Excel, various ERP systems, CAD systems) into the item Online Shop. All you have to do is assign the relevant column headers to your parts list so that the shop system can automatically identify the necessary information.
Your parts list data is then used to fill your cart. Shop users will also be able to see the prices.
5. I wanted to register. Why haven’t I received a confirmation e-mail?
6. I have registered with the shop, but can’t place orders. What do I have to do?
7. I want to change my user data. Can I also change my e-mail address?
You can change your personal contact data and your delivery address, subscribe to the item newsletter or enter your sales tax (VAT) ID to gain access to the Online Shop.
You cannot change your e-mail address here. If you have a new e-mail address, we would ask you to register with a new account. To do so, please follow the directions under Point 1.
8. I have forgotten my password. How can I access the Shop again?
Once your password has been reset you are automatically logged into the item website.
9. What shipping options does item offer?
Depending on the type of order (length, weight, etc.), the products will be delivered either by a parcel delivery service or the appointed item freight agent. You can also request a parcel delivery service or freight agent of your choosing. Deliveries are made in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions of Business.
